NYFW Day 2

The fashion week recap continues! I have so many fun photos and so much content to share it has honestly been hard to organize it all! Doing my best ;-)

On my second day of fashion week I spent the morning at the Oxford Fashion Studio Group Show! Oxford put on three shows throughout the day with champagne receptions between each show. I just went to the first show because the day was super busy already and I didn’t want to over-book myself and get too exhausted! The runway show took place at the Chelsea Piers which are absolutely beautiful! I had a lot of fun meeting old and new friends in line. We even had a celebrity sighting of one of the stars of Vampire Diaries. I had no idea who the attractive man with an accent was but I took lots of pictures of him with very excited young women. ;-)

My feet were already bruised and tired from running around in heeled boots the day before, so I knew Saturday was going to be my casual fashion week attire day! I opted for my trusty Palladium boot/sneakers—white chunky sneaks goes with literally anything! I was so glad to be wearing flat shoes- pro tip always pack flats for fashion week because your feet are going to hurt so bad!

I paired my white sneaks with this pink pinstriped Express duster. I love this piece because it can be worn as a dress or unbuttoned as a kimono look! It is so versatile and the perfect breezy transition piece into fall. My transparent Urban Outfitters bag (sold out sadly) has been my summer staple and paired perfectly with the look, topped off with a white Brixton hat.

Following the show, I was invited to the Style Coalition lounge hosted by Ebay Fashion. I attended the event with some blogger friends I met at the Lulu’s party the night before who were visiting from Chicago. I met so many cool girls throughout the week who were instant friends- sad everyone had to go back to their hometowns when the week ended! :(

The lounge was beyond incredible. From snacks and drinks to the most gorgeous baked treats you’ve ever seen, it was the perfect pit stop to chill and chat between the fashion week madness. A professional photographer was on-site taking fun shots of everyone hanging out, and Glam Squad was doing hair, makeup, and mini manicures! I stopped for a touch-up on my mani and loved that they used all Essie polish- my favorite! I had so much fun talking with the Ebay ladies who had put together the entire event and work with influencer marketing for the company. Ebay Fashion is really growing and they sure know how to host an event!

I was so excited to bump into some Seattle bloggers I met while going to school there at the event, @hellorigby and @bloggernotbillionaire! We decided to grab a bite to eat, catch up, and chat about our fashion week experiences. We had an early dinner at Lauduree Soho which is the most beautiful restaurant! They have high tea and so many fun macaroon flavors. The restaurant has a gorgeous outdoor patio and an amazing, elegant French vibe throughout. I’m so glad I ran into some familiar faces because I went to a lot of fashion week events alone. It was hard to navigate at times so bumping into friendly people made things a lot easier. :)

To finish off the night, I went out to Lavo in NYC with some friends. It was a really cool club experience and the venue was absolutely packed for DJ Sam Feldt. It was super fun to get dressed up and dance with friends- even if it meant being extra tired the next day. ;-) Let me know what questions you have about NYFW/NYC living- sharing a Q+A all about it in my Day 3 post! <3
