NYFW Day 3
On the third day of fashion week, Sunday, the first show of the day was at 12 PM- Nonie! It was back at Industria studios and the weather was the worst! Sadly it rained for almost all of fashion week this year and messed up a lot of outfits! Even so everyone showed up looking incredible. I adore the Nonie show! The colors and fabrics were perfection- so much sheer, silk, yellow, red, and navy! Loved it! See some of my favorite runway looks below! Also- I have a NYFW highlight reel on Instagram where you can see all of my videos from fashion week shows!
The best part of Fashion Week was definitely meeting so many incredible people- especially girl bosses everywhere! I met my sweet new friend Diana in line when it was pouring rain and she shared her umbrella with me! So grateful for how warm and welcoming most people are in NYC!
A little outfit note- I’ve always loved following the brand & Other Stories on social media because they have the coolest aesthetic. Since moving to NYC I’ve been visiting all their stores and have fallen even more in love! It’s so easy to snag great sale pieces there if you don’t want to break the bank. They have the cutest socks like the polka dot pair I’m wearing here that I knew I just had to style with heels for fashion week. I found the star printed heels (sold out so linking a pair of star booties here) in my size at the World Trade Center location and HAD to grab them!! The black silk top is by & Other Stories as well (similar top here) and is such a good go-to for work wear.
My denim skirt can be seen styled a million ways on my Instagram- splurged this summer at Abercrombie because I knew the slit skirt trend was going to make a comeback this fall! Also, any New Yorkers that haven’t been to the infamous Century 21 NEED to go. Think TJ Maxx on steroids. They have so many amazing designer bags for lower prices, like my Vince Camuto backpack. It’s the perfect size to carry anything I need! I was so happy with how this look came together and it ended up being my favorite outfit of the whole week!
Following the Nonie show I ran over to Canal Street and did a photo shoot with @whiteteeblackdress who was in town from LA shooting some looks! We had so much fun taking pictures in the rain and I will be sharing them all in a post soon! Would definitely recommend her if you need a photographer in LA! After my photoshoot I changed looks again and took the subway back to Industria! There I watched my last show of the day, which had SO many beautiful gowns ( see pictures above) full of shimmer and detailing! I was in love with all the dress and wish I could have worn them to prom! The fabrics moved so beautifully on the runway. That’s all for Day 3! In my next post I’m going to answer some Q+A my Instagram readers asked about what it was like to experience NYFW- let me know if you have any other questions! :)
