Southern Wedding

I just got home from North Carolina and I am ready to get back to blogging! I'm really excited about posting more and I have so many ideas!

I attended my cousin, John's, beautiful wedding at the Greensboro Presbyterian Church in NC.  The ceremony was incredible and the venue was absolutely stunning!

I loved getting to wear this full skirt and twirl around all day long.  Finding the perfect outfit for the wedding was difficult because I knew it would be HOT and humid.  Even so, I needed a tasteful outfit that would also keep me cool.  This midi skirt from White House Black Market was the perfect find!

The black and white floral skirt paired with a black cropped camisole gives off the illusion that the outfit is a dress, which is really fun. This black Express tank helped me make the outfit my own and stay cool! The skirt also looks amazing with a ribbed off the shoulder top if you are looking to dress for cooler weather.

Now, let's talk shoes.  Tassels, suede, and wrap-around laces are all major trends in the shoe world right now.  Steve Madden has a pair of suede lace-up heels that are to-die-for, but they weren't quite in my budget.  Fortunately, WHBM was having an amazing sale, and I scored this entire outfit for under $100!

Nothing is classier than pearls, especially in the South, so I decorated my tank with this pretty necklace that has been in my family for many generations- it's my favorite and I love how much meaning it holds.  A classic topknot and pink MAC lipstick (check out this pretty Amplified Diva-ish color!) were the perfect finishing touches at this gorgeous southern wedding.
