A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit Vancouver, British Columbia. I had never been out of the country previously, so Canada was an amazing experience- even if I spent less than 24 hours there! I got to eat some amazing food, drink delicious coffee, visit a sea-plane airport and watch the planes take off, and spend some time in the beautiful, infamous Stanley Park. From the Lions Gate Bridge to the streets of downtown, being a tourist in Canada was a lot of fun!
Day one of the trip included exploring downtown and dining at the spectacular Cactus Club Cafe- would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Vancouver! It was extremely modern and the service was excellent. We also found a cute gelato shop down the street from the hotel. The options for food and drink were endless and the atmosphere of downtown constantly bustled with energy.
The next morning, we traveled to Stanley Park before heading back to Seattle and explored the park! The beaches, water, and bridges were astounding and miles of bicycle and walking trails wrapped around the tallest trees. Much of the park reminded me of Seattle, but it also resembled the coasts of Europe because the views were so vast and unique.
The weather during the trip was a bit cooler, especially being so close to the water, so layers were key to being comfortable. I stayed warm in distressed denim, soft long sleeve layers, and cozy light turtlenecks. If you're planning an international trip any time soon, Vancouver, Canada is a must see!
